Building an Orphanage in Memory of our mother, Fakhra Babri

Asalamualaikum,

On 30th January 2025, our beloved mother, Fakhra Babri returned to her creator. Throughout her life, she was renowned for her caring, loving and gentle nature with an everlasting smile. She taught us that true fulfillment comes from helping others, and now, we want to honour her legacy in the most meaningful way possible.

In her memory, we are raising funds to build an orphanage – a place where vulnerable children can find love, shelter, and hope for a better future. Our mother had a special place in her heart for children, and loved them like her own. We know that nothing would make her happier than knowing that, even in her absence, she continues to be a source of comfort and care for those in need.

This orphanage will provide basic necessities like food, shelter and education whilst also being a safe haven for children to grow up feeling loved and supported. Her unwavering love for her own children and loved ones spoke volumes, and we are privileged to be able to continue her legacy on her behalf.

Losing our mother is an indescribable pain, but we find solace in knowing that through this initiative, her kindness will live on. We ask to you to be part of this journey and help us turn grief into goodness. Your support will not only honour our mother’s memory, but will change the lives of countless orphans who deserve a chance at a brighter future.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this” (holding his two fingers together)
